I have pale/average skin, how do I apply pink blush to make it look not fake and cute?

If you're using a powder blush then dip the brush into the blusher and then blow off any excess powder, then when you apply it DO NOT use up down up down continuous strokes otherwise you will have a pink stripe and DO NOT apply it in a circular motion otherwise you have a prominent pink circle and it will look silly.

Instead smile and then move the brush in slow short soft movements over the apple of your cheek, DO not press hard and do not go back and for.

then blend blend blend so you look like a natural blushing beauty.

If you are using a cream blusher then i would advise applying it on your finger first and then using your finger to softly tap and blend it in over the apple of your cheek, a cream blush can look more fresh and natural for the summer but personally i prefer a powder blush because you can get more colour from it.

I have pale skin and what i do is apply my blusher so it looks natural and its blended well and then i apply bronzer to give my whole face a natural glow.

there is no rule to say you cant use bronzer and blusher together.

it is all about moderation and as long as you dont paint it on it will look lush.

hope this helps.

i have that exact same problem, now what i do is i dont use blush anymore i use a nice bronzer with a blush brush, apply it lightly on cheekbones, it still does the same thing blush does but the bronze looks more natural rather than a cutesy pink or red. :) it will also give you face a more overall tanned look, taking attention away from any dark eye circles, bags etc.I have pale/average skin, how do I apply pink blush to make it look not fake and cute?
Do NOT smile when you apply blush, it accentuates all the tiny lines in your face and then the blush gets in them and makes you look older! Instead, pucker your cheeks like a fish. Seriously, it looks stupid but works much better!

I'm sure you know this already, but make sure you tap off extra blush from your brush before you start. And then very softly apply it on your cheekbones - but not too close towards your nose otherwise you'll just look like you've been running!

If pink doesn't work for you (it may not, some skin tones just don't suit it) try an apricot colour or a soft brown.
To make your blush look natural, try going for the right blush color (tone) and NEVER brush on a ton of blush...tap off the excess or blow it off the brush and gently sweep the brush across your cheek...

Few products I would recommend for pale skin tone would be: 10, Dandelion, or Georgia (all by Benefit cosmetic found in all Sephora stores)
